Bee Special: Small decisions can have big consequences

What decisions have you made today/this week?

Were there any unexpected consequences?

  • Third instalment in the life and times of Barry Bee. In the first session we looked at the purpose for Barry’s life, last week we saw Barry encounter the wonders of creation for the first time, and this week, Barry is leading a crusade to free bees from their slavery and reclaim all the honey from the humans.
  • The problem is that Barry, and others involved in this campaign, don’t understand the effects this will have on the wider world, and ultimately on themselves.
  • Where did it all go wrong?
    • When the Colonel of the Pollen Jocks aborted the pollination mission?
    • Was it when honey production was stopped?
    • How about when Barry Bee actually claimed the freedom he’d won, shutting down Bee Farm etc?
    • Was it when the judge found in favour of the bees?
    • Or when Barry decided to seek freedom and take the humans to court?

Actually, each of these decisions contributed to the disaster. But where did it all start? Before venturing outside the hive, Barry was warned not to talk to humans – it’s a Bee Law.
